Often complicated devices are still used to heat or cool the baths. Titanium systems, such as titanium encased immersion bath warmers, boiler tube heat exchangers, registers and coils, are also more effective.
The most common form of heating or cooling is by means of coils which are fitted to the sides or the floor of the bath, depending on the space available. A coil made of titanium, even when purchased new, can be less expensive than one of the traditional types of construction. Due to the excellent heat transfer performance of a thin-walled titanium pipe, which loses and collects almost no material, often only a small pipe length is required. A further advantage is the much lower weight of a titanium coil. Complicated fitting and anchoring is not necessary. The coil can be bent cold over a mandril, which allows low bending radii.
Today a pipe diameter of 25.4 mm and a wall thickness of 0.9 mm is almost standard, however special requirements can be accounted for both in form and dimensions.
It is well-known today, that a component manufactured from titanium, whilst higher in initial cost than that of a component made from another material, will pay for itself in a short time and in the long run will produce cost savings.
Titanium provides an application in galvanizing baths, free from breakdowns and low maintenance.
We provide you with the usual working material, such as flat, rectangular and rounded bars, wire, metal plates, perforated plates and rib mesh in various dimensions. We would be pleased to produce the parts you desire, including custom made products to your specification.
Such products can be made, not only in titanium, but also in titanium-palladium stabilised and titanium platinum, in addition to zirconium, hastelloy, stainless steel and normal steel, including all accessories, such as screws, nuts, washers and other standard and non-standard parts.
